Question by ce: Fur (thread) started coming out in good quality Cotton Socks after one washing in the washing machine.?
(1) How many of you have faced this problem? Any solution?
(2) Is it a manufacturing defect or problem is with the washing? I’ve been using the same brand socks since 2 years without any problem. And in fact with a longer life when compared with the other brands I used earlier. This is the first time I face this problem.

Sometimes, you buy a dud!
What I mean is that although you are used to that brand and have never had a problem till now, it could be that someone dropped the ball (in a manner of speaking).
Remember that sometimes, certain manufacturers would recall a product, be it medicine, cars, electronic items. It is not that they are poor producers, merely that something went wrong for some reason.

It means that the loose ends weren’t stitched into the seams very well. If you’re referring to the lint, this is normal with shorter-staple (fiber) cottons. Perhaps the manufacturer changed factories, or yarn suppliers…
I have heard it said to never buy anything that was made on Monday of Friday. I just wish we could tell. I had a recent experience with Folgers coffee. I got on the website and wrote an email to tell of a can of coffee I didn’t like. They sent me a coupon for a free can of coffee, so you might try that with the manufacturer of the socks. You too might get a free can of coffee.(ha ha)
